Giulietta Register AGM 2026 – Sunday 26 April
The AGM was held at the Kings Court Hotel Alcester, near Stratford-upon-Avon, followed by lunch. Chairman, Duncan Ferns, reported on the past year’s highlight events and on the club’s healthy financial position. He announced an exciting new project underway between Antoine Kohler, a Swiss member, and Bernard Lien-Lambert, GiuliettaLetta editor, to produce a 60 page high quality booklet on the history of Giuliettas and Giulias 1954-65. This will be distributed to all paid up Register members internationally with the Spring 2027 Letta. Membership numbers are increasing, with 36% in UK, 22% in Europe and 42% in the rest of the world, mostly in the USA. Ours is a truly international club. Bernard was congratulated for attracting more Letta contributors from various countries and enhancing the design and layout of the magazine.
The Chairman presented the 2026 Award for Excellent Service to Peter Bradnock who has stepped down from the Management Team after 12 years. Peter has managed the Giulietta Register website and Facebook Group, and organized the Register’s European tours with past Chairman, Richard Wigley over the last 10 years.
Our Letta Editor presented the Award for the best contribution to the Letta for 2026 to Dave Ward, for his series of five articles chronicling his long and painstaking restoration of his now gorgeous black Giulietta Sprint Speciale (SS). It is a story of an incredible amount of work, skill, perseverance, and determination by Dave.
A prestigious Life Membership award was given to Frank van der Vecht, of The Netherlands. Frank joined the Register in 1993 and attended the majority of our European events and UK Autumn tours, including organising a tour to The Netherlands. Frank has been a regular contributor to the Letta.
